Spyware is the nasty side of surfing the internet. Certain sites download code, known as “trackers”, to your PC. These track where you surf and report the information back to their head office, to be used in what ever way they choose. If you surf a lot, then you could end up with a large number, sometimes even 100’s of trackers loaded. This means your PC has so much to do, telling all the head offices where you’ve been surfing, that it has little time left to do what you asked it to do i.e. it runs dog slow.
